Deschutes Brewing out of Bend Oregon has been brewing craft beers for sometime now and evidently grown the market to where expansion would not only be nice, but a must.
The demand for their west coast specialty beers are taxing their ability to keep up with the demand. So, in the next few month, they will be increasing their capacity from 240k barrels to 345, making a nice, nearly 50% jump in production. The specialty brewer is also eyeballing the east coast market and beer drinkers out that way are welcoming some of the west coast brews. Recently Sierra Nevada laid out plans to expand to North Carolina in an effort to grab part of the beer drinking marketshare in that part of the country.
Deschutes has been around since 1988 and is always one of the favorite booths at the craft beer festivals.
