Well, another year has come and gone for the Autumn Brew Review held at the historic Grain Belt Brewery in N E Minneapolis MN. There were a few changes to this years event and I think it worked out quite well. Roughly 90 breweries and brew pubs were on hand to showcase their goods along with entertainment and food vendors. The MN Craft Brewers Guild puts on the event and it continues to get bigger and better with each years passing.

Brew Review SignOne of the changes this year was that it was broken into two sessions. Beer fans could purchase tickets to the morning session, which also featured a Bloody Mary Bar, or the afternoon session. This gave more people the opportunity to participate. Of course we had to check out the Bloody Mary bar… it went well with some of the tasty craft brews.

With so many craft beers and micro brews on hand, it was difficult to pick any favorites, so we asked some of the fan what stood out to their beer pallete.Sign for Deschutes Brewing There were many Lagers, ales, sassions, pilsner, marzens and much more to sample. Seemed like the Abyss and Stoic from Deschutes were very popular as was Envious from Holland Brewing. The Auroch’s Horn honey ale from Oakdale Farms Brewing was very popular as was Size 7 from Steel Toe Brewing. Of course there were many people waiting in line for a taste of the limited edition brews from Bells and Surly and Brau Brothers Brewing  ran out of Cocoa Nut Moo Joos quickly as well. This was a great opportunity for beer lovers to try something different and taste some new styles of beer.

Watch for the video coming that will let you be a part of the event. Thanks to all who stopped us to say hi and thanks to all of the great craft brewers who furnished the delicious products! Until next time …beers to ya!
